Polythene Industries

Polythene Industries is a fast growing UK based producer of plastic film and bags. Their old IT system was well past its end-of-life, but did everything the company needed from taking orders through to production. However, as the company grew, operating from multiple locations became an issue and it was proving difficult to gain access to real time data to check order and product status.

Quest has rewritten the application, taking the “friction” out of the workflow. For the Production Manager alone, this has resulted in a saving of 36 hours a week, as most of the production scheduling is now automatic.

Key information, such as order status, production lead-times and estimates are now available to the sales force, in all offices.

A PDA interface enables quotes and lead times to be available out of the office, via a mobile phone, PDA or laptop.
